What we collect and how we use it
Information you provide
When User signs up for an account with ChieKoo Services, we ask the User to provide his/her Name, email address and an account password.
When User registers a ChieKoo Device as an Owner, we ask the User to provide the Unique ChieKoo device id, the Global and local Names that User has assigned to his/her ChieKoo device.
When a ChieKoo BLE Alert broadcast is received on User’s mobile or tablet devices, if:
- The App is running on User’s mobile or tablet device either in the foreground or background AND,
- The mobile or tablet device have Bluetooth 4 capability AND,
- The Bluetooth capability is turned ON AND,
- User is logged into his/her ChieKoo Cloud account on the Settings screen of the App AND,
- User is either the Owner or a Follower of the broadcasting ChieKoo Device THEN
The App will store the following the following information in the ChieKoo Cloud:
- Unique ID of the Broadcasting ChieKoo Device ,
- The Time the Alert was received by the App,
- The User identification of the Account logged in on the App in ChieKoo Cloud.
When a User either the Owner or a Follower of the ChieKoo Device Accepts an Alert on the App, the App will save the time of the acceptance of the Alert on the CHieKoo Cloud.

Location of Storage and Processing of personal information
Your personal information is stored and processed at our servers hosted in the USA and Canada, unless stated otherwise in the rest of this document.
How do we Use your personal information
We will use your Personal Information from your registration and the logs of alert broadcasts and acceptance notifications to create reports and statistics on Alert frequency, Alert Notification response times, frequency of Acceptance responses, Responsive vs. unresponsive followers, … etc. We may also communicate, publish, display, distribute and sell such stored logs, reports and statistics.
Further Uses of your Personal Information
In addition, we may use and process your personal information:
- To provide you with support and handle requests and complaints;
- To send you updates, notices, and additional information related to the Services;
- To prevent fraud, misappropriation, infringements, identity theft and other illegal activities and misuse of the Services.
Our Use and Sharing of your personal information
We may share your personal with our third party development partners , service providers or affiliates, as authorized by us to collect, process and use your personal information as data processors on our behalf, such as, for instance, cloud-based and hosting services, technical service providers, mail carriers, communication agencies and customer support service providers; these parties may be located in countries outside of your jurisdiction, including but not limited to the USA.
An updated list of the parties engaged by us for the processing of your personal information may be requested from us at any time.
Other than as indicated above, we will not share your personal information with any third parties, unless compelled by law to do so or if you have given your prior consent
Controlling your Personal Information
Upon your request, we will deactivate your account and your activated ChieKoo devices. However such information we may not be deleted from ChieKoo Cloud and Services. We may also continue to communicate, publish, display, distribute and sell such stored logs, reports and statistics of your deactivated personal information
We may periodically send you free newsletters and e-mails that directly promote our Services. When you receive such promotional communications from us, you will have the opportunity to “opt-out” (either through your Account or by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the e-mail you receive). We do need to send you certain communications regarding the Services and you will not be able to opt out of those communications – e.g., communications regarding updates to our Terms of Service or information about billing.
Intelletto takes appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data including internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data. However, these measures are unable to provide absolute assurance. Therefore, although we take great efforts to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee and you cannot reasonably expect that our databases will be immune from any wrongdoings, malfunctions, unlawful interceptions or access, or other kinds of abuse and misuse.
